2023 Redfish World Series
O’Connell, Adams win Power-Pole Redfish Tour Series Championship.
The Power-Pole Redfish Tour closed out the 2022/2023 season over the weekend with the Series Championship held in Delacroix, LA where 72 teams from 9 different states competed for the title. A pair of 1st place plaques weren’t the only items up for grabs, the winning team would be taking home a new 2023 Mamba Custom Boats 227VX powered by a 300 HP Mercury Pro XS package valued at $120,000.00.
When it was all said and done, Sean O’Connell and Eddie Adams reigned supreme. O’Connell and Adams weighed two fish on day 1 that totaled 19.52 pounds, their largest weighing 10.17 pounds. That gave them a leading margin of just under two pounds heading into the second and final day of competition. They would be the final team to weigh on day 2, following up with a 16.63 pound, 2 fish limit to take the victory for a two day total of 36.15 pounds.
PORT ARANSAS, Texas — One-trick ponies seldom win races, but Sean O’Connell of Mandeville, La., and Edward Adams of Metairie, La., proved they were nothing of the sort by adapting to changing conditions and securing a wire-to-wire win at the Yamaha Bassmaster Redfish Cup Championship presented by Skeeter with a three-day total of 48 pounds, 3 ounces.
MINNEAPOLIS – Tune in Sunday, Sept. 16 to “FLW Outdoors” on FSN for the $200,000 Wal-Mart FLW Redfish Series event in Cocodrie, La. The third Western Division event of the $1.9 million season will highlight the best redfish anglers in the world as they compete for a cash prize of up to $50,000.
